Would you like to hear my song
 6 6 7 7 7 7 -7
I’m a-fraid it’s rath-er long
6 6 7 7 7 7 7 -6
Of the fa-mous “on to Rich-mond”
-8 7 -7 6
Dou-ble trou-ble
6 6 7 7 7 7 -7
Of the half a doz-en trips
 6 -6 -6 -6 -6 6
And half a doz-en slips
 5 5 -5 -5 -5 -5
And the ver-y lat-est
 -4 -4 6 6 5 4
Burst-ing of the bub-ble
  6 7 7 7 7 -7
‘Tis pret-ty hard to sing
 6 7 7 7 7 -7
And like a round, round ring
  6 6 7 7 7 7
‘Tis a dread-ful knot-ty
 7 -5 -8 7 -7 6
Puz-zle to un-rav-el
  6 7 7 7 7 -7
Though all the pa-pers swore
 6 6 -6 -6 -6 -6 6
When we touched Vir-gin-ia’s shore
 5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -4 6 6 5 4
That Rich-mond was a hard road to trav-el

 6 4 4 -4 5
Then pull off your coat
 6 -5 5 -5 -6 6
And roll up your sleeve
 6 4 -3” 4 -4 5 6 5 5 -5 -4
For Rich-mond is a hard road to trav-el
 6 4 4 -4 5
Then pull off your coat
 6 -5 5 -5 -6 7
And roll up your sleeve
 7 -7 6 6 6 6 6 -6 6 5
For Rich-mond is a hard road to trav-el
